I’m playing EVE for about 15 days. I’m doing Security lvl 3 missions with a Gallente Vexor and Drones. Next ship will be a Dominix in 3 days. I’m aiming on PvP when I ll be a bit ready. I would like to know if you have any suggestions about attributes remaping. Thank you. |

What kind of pvp are you planning on getting into?

Attributes don't have much to do with pvp. Get Evemon and see if you can set up a skillplan. It can then show you what you should remap to, to improve training times. For pvp, you want turrets and tank. So go for small/med/large specilizations (t2 guns), and get your shield/armor skills up (depending on your ship). Alternatively, you can train for t2 missiles. Edit: Remember not to fly what you can't afford to lose, and bigger != better. Especially in pvp. Start out in cruiser/frigate if you're flying solo/small group. Get the ship t2 fit, and learn how to fly those first. Just because you can fly a Dominix, doesn't mean you can fly a Dominix, if you get my drift. |

Originally posted by kattehus That last Edit statement is so increadibly true. I would say if you want to get into PvP, use NOTHING but Frigates to start. That way, when you lose (note I said When, not If, believe me it will happen) you won't lose much worth of stuff. I'd also recommend you look through some of the player guides on the Eve Online website, they have a lot of useful info. One other thing, when you're first starting don't even think about trying PvP solo. You'll get munched. Instead, try getting into a corp that does lowsec or nullsec roams, and make yourself useful by training for a specific role. Even tech 1 frigates can be highly prized as a fast tackler, so in the marketplace look up Webifiers (under Ship Equipment/Electronic Warfare), Warp Scramblers (same place) and Microwarp Drives (under Ship Equipment/Propulsion). For those, take a look at the skill requirements needed to fit the tech 1 versions of those and train for them. As a fast tackler, your role is to get in fast, lock down a target's engines quickly so that they can't escape and then survive long enough for a big friend of yours to come in and air condition the enemy pilot's forehead. This role is very cheap to do, absolutely essential in small gang PvP and a very good way to start learning the ins and outs of PvP. Good luck. |

Sorry to tell you but you trained up wrong race. Gallente are useless in PVP.

Tell that to all the new Enyo and Ishkur pilots playing with their Assault Frigs. Or Catalysts that eat frigs for breakfast. Or Myrmidons that like to think they are Hurricanes.
Or Angel Cartel ships. |

I don't understand the sentence where you mentioned frigates. |

Normally, I would say that new players should train for Rifter but with recent buff to destroyers and upcoming buff to AF, the frigate class and overall small ship balance goes down the sink thus Trasher would probably be better to train instead. |

Originally posted by Gdemami A thrasher would have a hard time killing any class above other t1 destroyers. Frigates, on the other hand, specially some combat Interceptors and Assault Frigates, can kill above-class hulls.
Regardless of the current effectiveness of t1 frigates, Gallente have forbidable ships in all hull types and are as viable as any other race for new players. And even if you think Gallente specific ships are subpar, you cannot say the same thing for Dramiel, Daredevil, Cynabal, and Machariel: all of which benefit from Gallente spaceship skills. |

I am not sure if you read what I just said or even understand what I am saying...
