Emil Chronicle Online is a 3D Japanese fantasy MMORPG with anime-style graphics. Set in the land of Acronia, the game features twelve classes spread among four races, each with a particular advantage (agility, magic, or strength). Along with a series of quests and battles, the game features a few standout modes including its marionette system, where players can transform their characters into marionettes, which are Pokémon-like surrogates to fight for you. Your marionettes can live in the world even when you logged out. There is also a standard pet system outside of this. You can also turn your characters into weapons that other people can use, gaining both experience. PvP is in RvR format, and massive battles are scheduled regularly in advance for different level groups.
