Freesky Online is a browser-based strategy MMO from IGG. The game's standout feature is its aerial combat, but terrestrial aspects of the game include typical strategy elements like resource gathering, research, and empire growth. Players, their empires, cities and castles level up through these activities, instead of the usual MMO combination of questing and hunting. The developers claim that steady advancement may be made in 10 minutes a day. The two types of empires one may choose to build are commerical and military, and these two will certainly clash. PvP centers around these clashes, and more advanced steps such as alliances are available. Once players learn to build them, airships become the primary weapon in taking over land and keeping one's empire safe.

The game's story concerns the development of the New Continent, derived from a place called Erl, which though advanced, could not avoid destruction by the mysterious "Freesky". Graphically, the game runs in a browser using Flash and Java, and thus requires no download. The game has an optional cash shop, but is otherwise free to play.
